We're under contract!!

Holey Moley, goodness gracious great balls of fire. I asked for yall's happy thoughts and you delivered!

As of yesterday, we are officially under contract. As in, someone wants to buy The Anniversary Home. Buy it from us. In March. For money. It's almost too good to be true. I'm thankful. Beyond thankful.

Now, I'm certainly not getting my hopes up. Can I just remind you that when we were searching for The Anniversary Home, we were under contract with four.other.houses before finally reaching the finish line. Things can still go wrong. I'm holding my breath. But this one just feels right.

The buyers have been awesome to work with. The whole thing came completely out of nowhere and was done in less than 24 hours. They've been transparent, honest and flexible and that's a good thing because Mrs. B. does not play games. (Here's lookin' at you last set of buyers. Don't mess with me.) I also like to think that we've been pretty flexible and transparent too. I won't get on my soapbox today about buyer/sellers who play games....that's another day.

And no surprise, they lllluuuuvvvvv the kitchen. I'm going to go ahead and give myself a huge pat on the back for that one. I've got good taste.

So naturally, what did I do last night? I got my little toosh on Realtor.com and started looking at new houses for us to buy!! We're going to do things a little differently the next go-round, but I can't wait to share the progress of selling and buying our next (3rd!) home with you...

Keep the prayers coming and thanks for your support!

  4. Exciting indeed! We were under contract on one home here in Charlotte that did fall through ... but the home had $10k plus of foundation repairs needed, and the seller refused to foot the bill - we were already maxed out (so we thought) in our offer. We ended up buying a more expensive home around the corner - HA!

I wish you both lots of luck and a quick contracting period!
