House Update: Numero Quatro

As far as we know, things are still on track for closing on March 30th. It's just around the corner, and honestly, it can't get here soon enough.

There were some touch and go moments last week because we had some feedback that the house *might* not appraise for what we needed it to. I didn't post anything about it at the time because I didn't want to jinx anything (and because I was really bummed out) but it looks like we're clear from that mess now. On that front, no news is good news.

It's finally time for us to move the last of our stuff out so I'll be heading up to PA next week to meet with the movers and get everything packed. Some of it will be coming to the new apartment (um, like our beds!) and some of it will be headed to storage since we won't need it until we buy a house here (lookin' at you lawn mower!). It will be a quick trip so I won't be able to see many friends, sorry in advance about that!

Sadly, Mr. B. didn't make the traveling team for this trip, so he won't be there to say our final goodbyes to the house with me. Just me. And The Anniversary Home. I'm not sure if I'll cry or laugh. Probably both.

We've managed to time the move from our corporate furnished apartment to our own apartment pretty well too, so that we have a few weeks overlap between the places and there's plenty of time for the moving truck to get here with our essentials.

I've saved the best for last with this post: guess where I'm headed today????

Out with our realtor to start looking at NEW HOUSES! I'm beyond excited. We've got 6 or so lined up today and another 6 for Thursday. Here's hoping this experience is the complete opposite of the last time. Remember what a pain that was?

I'll report back later this week on our new and improved plans for house hunting. Let's just say we've learned a thing or two from the last go round!
